The Cheese Lady on the town’s Court Street is among those shortlisted for the Celebrating Small Business Awards, organised by the Federation of Small Businesses.

Prizes will be presented to 12 winners at a ceremony in Glasgow next month.

Small and medium businesses support more than a million jobs across Scotland.

The Cheese Lady is one of five finalists in the Family Business of the Year category and is also in contention for the Micro Business of the Year alongside eight other businesses.

Winners will be crowned on March 8.
