Seton Sands Holiday Park bosses move to resolve ‘rat problem’

The owners of Seton Sands Holiday Park have put in place “proactive pest control measures” amid claims of a severe “rat problem” at the park.

A resident at the park contacted the Courier to say that she and “many others on the site have been trying to resolve this matter for some time”.

The person alleged: “Dead rats have been left lying next to caravans, rats still getting into owners’ caravans.

“This situation is nowhere near being resolved; we are all at our wits’ end.”

She described how one woman’s caravan allegedly had more than 10 rats around it.

A Haven spokesperson confirmed that measures had been put in place to control “pest” issues as ongoing improvement works took place.

They added that environmental health officials were informed and the issue would soon be resolved.

The spokesperson said: “As a result of the improvement works taking place at the park, we have put proactive pest control measures in place.

“We are also keeping the environmental health office updated on this issue and anticipate it will be resolved soon.”
