Hello Mondays will give parents with children up to eight years old the chance to meet others and share experiences, as well as reduce feelings of overwhelm and stress.

They will learn practical skills and build self-confidence, getting support and offering support to others.

A crèche is being provided but spaces are limited.

One-to-one family support is also available at First Step, based on Galt Avenue.

Tina Pollock, project manager, said: “First Step is now taking referrals for our outreach service, which provides one-to-one support for parents with children under eight living in Wallyford, Musselburgh and Whitecraig.”

A family support worker can provide information and support to access services, including advice on the cost of living.
