Last chance to get half-price tickets on ScotRail services
COUNTY rail users looking to get half-price tickets as part of a promotion from ScotRail must do so by tomorrow (Thursday).
ScotRail began the promotion, which covers all off-peak train fares, last month in a move hoped to give people “an opportunity to explore Scotland by rail for less”.
Customers can only buy half-price tickets on off-peak journeys up to and including tomorrow.
The tickets can still be used for journeys up until February 28 as long as they are bought by tomorrow.
ScotRail’s half-price sale can be accessed by users with a simple promo code.
The promo code is SALE23 and can be used online via the ScotRail website, the ScotRail app, ScotRail ticket offices and on ScotRail trains.
ScotRail’s Kids for a Quid can also be used in conjunction with this offer, meaning up to four children can travel and return for £1 with each adult.
However, ScotRail’s Kids for a Quid scheme is not valid on trains between Dunbar and Edinburgh.

This discount applies to ScotRail services only and cannot be used on any other rail services.
Details on off-peak train times can be found on the ScotRail website.
Scotland’s Transport Minister Jenny Gilruth MSP praised the move, saying: “This ticket offer is just one of the ways in which the Scottish Government is ensuring a publicly owned and operated ScotRail can deliver real benefits and savings for passengers.
“We need more people to return to Scotland’s trains and I would encourage anyone thinking about travelling by rail to take up this opportunity for half-price travel.”
