Former world number one golfer visits Haddington church
FORMER world number one golfer Ko Jin-young was among the visitors from across the globe stopping off at a Haddington church over the summer.
St Mary’s Parish Church held its annual open season from the beginning of May until the end of September.
Stewart Macrae, from the church, said: “We have had a very successful season, welcoming 2,100 visitors from 28 different countries (including the world’s number one lady golfer from Korea).
This is only slightly down from the average before lockdown, and since we did not open in 2020, and only for a short time in 2021, we can be pleased.”
Ko was among the field at the AIG Women’s Open, which was played at Muirfield.
