USED cooking oil was stolen from outside a Dunbar hotel.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place at the Royal Mackintosh Hotel.
Used cooking oil is often collected from businesses by specialist companies and can be used to create high quality biofuels for transport.
However, it is understood that some unscrupulous individuals are visiting hospitality outlets before representatives from a company can do so and taking the oil.
