Spotlight Volunteer Award Announced For Gillian Downie

Congratulations Gillian On Your Award

Gill has volunteered in some capacity with Musselburgh Amateur Swimming Club for over 6 years, she stepped up to the helm of Club President when our former chairman passed away and seen us through Covid as well as gaining Swimmark+ and introducing a new portal, TeamUnify.

Gill has just been awarded life membership of MASC at our AGM in November. Although she has stepped away from the president role Gill has now taken on a new post, of Disability officer, within the club.

Gill is passionate about para and disability swimming and I am sure she will be fantastic in this role too. 

Amazing work Gill, well deserved!
